Custom Home Construction Process
Site Visit
A site visit is a complimentary service that we offer to help you plan your budget and make the most of your location. Once you’ve selected a floor plan and found the land you want to build on, we will walk your lot with you to discuss any work that will need to be done to the land prior to building and how to place your home on the land to maximize sun exposure and views.
Architectural Drawings
We work with many architects and will assist in finding you one that shares your vision of your home. With your assistance and input, the architect will draw the plans for your new home. We encourage you to gather photos, ideas, and inspiration to share with the architect.
Duration
Our average build time is approximately 6-8 months. Your actual build time may be subject to weather delays, strains on the local jurisdiction, homeowner participation, availability of qualified trade partners, and the complexity of your build.
Site Development
Every custom home build begins with land that is properly prepared for construction. Depending on the land this may include clearing, grading, excavation and other items
Construction
Our process ensures that our clients are involved at every critical stage of construction. This is your opportunity to share in the rare and thrilling experience of watching what was once a dirt lot slowly transform into the luxury home of your dreams. Before construction begins, you are guided through the entire building process. We provide you with a construction timetable and set the deadlines for your product selection to ensure timely completion.
Final Walk Through
When your home is finished you will have an opportunity to take a room-by-room tour. The purpose of this is to identify any unnoticed cosmetic defects that need to be corrected prior to your move. We will make every effort to correct all items prior to your move-in or within three business days.
